House conversion

Avonmouth

Mark Bigwood Properties Ltd. asked me to prepare a design and planning application for the conversion of this existing large Edwardian doctors’ house into five self-contained flats.

To meet the building regulations acoustic measures were added to the existing timber floors and to maximise the return on this speculative development, constructed behind the existing flat roof parapet and off the flat roof, is a new mansard roof accommodating a penthouse apartment.

Accessible Disabled Toilet

Within the confines of  two neighbouring  Anglican churches I prepared the required building plans and faculty plans to allow for the incorporation of accessible toilets. The churches both now benefit from disabled friendly wc facilities.

Eco-friendly barn conversion conversion of two adjoining large stone granary barns and outbuildings into six bedroomed house formerly on Lord Wraxall’s Estate.

The barns have oak roof trusses and use minimalist internal design to produce galleried bedrooms and all within a tight budget. The project includes the conversion of outbuildings into two bedroomed self- contained annexe.
